Our client is a Market Leading Consultancy brand within Architectural, Commercial and Hospitality Design. Their business is expanding and they are in need of talented and experienced Senior Lighting Designers. You will currently be a Lighting Designer or Senior with a minimum of five years’ experience in an independent fee-based lighting consultancy. You are now looking to further your career, take greater responsibility and use your flair to creatively drive projects and be able to run large projects from concept to completion. You will be an effective communicator at both board and contractor level and be able to manage, guide and inspire a team of Lighting Designers. As well as excellent creative and technical skills you will have extensive knowledge of all relevant software packages.

Responsibilities

· To successfully design, manage and oversee all projects delegated to you by the Directors and Associates whether Fee based or Design and Supply.

· To ensure the smooth running and profitability of all lighting design projects delegated to you.

· To oversee and manage ongoing rollout projects as required by the

Directors and Associates

· To liaise with manufacturers on specification and pricing and take the

initiative to negotiate improved margins whether project specific or

longer term.

· To be instrumental in the ongoing development of the design team and

individuals within.

· To provide sound technical lighting design advice to our clients

· To establish and maintain strong relationships with end clients,

architects, interior designers, M&E consultants and developers.

· To play a key role in mentoring junior staff

· To learn to delegate work to more junior staff and closely monitor to

ensure it is always to the high standard client expects.

· To assist the Associates and Directors in ensuring we maintain a high

level of design and technical output along with the ongoing development

of design studio procedures.
