A leading insurance company have an exciting new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity/Liability Claims Adjuster. It will involve handling a range of Professional Indemnity and General Liability (EL/PL) claims, from first advice through to settlement. Applicants should have prior Professional Indemnity claims handling experience and any Casualty/Liability claims experience will be advantageous. A working knowledge of ECF will also be useful. Duties and ResponsibilitiesVerify and settle claims Professional Indemnity and Liability ClaimsInvestigate and negotiate claims as requiredPositively influence the handling and settlement of claims on both direct and reinsurance portfolios. Check case reserves and ensure adequate provision is made for outstanding liabilities.Build and maintain relationships with brokers, cedants and clients.Conduct client visits, audit and due diligence where required.Identify and analyse legal, political and market developments. Report those developments and their potential impact on the business to relevant stakeholders.Build and maintain reputation as technical experts and market leaders on Casualty claims related issues.
