We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Southend Hospital, specifically within the Urgent Emergency Care department. This role is crucial in supporting the wards, admissions, and Emergency Department (ED) through efficient medication management and patient care.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work across various settings within the hospital including wards, admissions, and the ED.
  • Review and dispense medications for patients accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage and complete prescriptions using the e-prescriptions system.
  • Review patient notes on Careflow to ensure accurate medication dispensing.
  • Check and manage stock levels using TMJ Insight.
  • Play a key role in supporting the overall flow of patients through the Urgent and Emergency department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician.
  • ACT qualification is required - please attach the certificate with your CV.
  • Essential to have previous hospital experience - Minimum 1 year NHS Wards (face to face patient interaction)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
