Public Policy CoordinatorLocation: London, UKLength: 12 monthsStart date: AsapRate: £38.46 p/h (Inside IR35)Hours: 9am-6pm Overview:The European Privacy Policy team is looking for someone to provide project management support to our external engagement team. As a Policy Associate, you will work at the intersection of project management, communications, knowledge and budget management to help drive privacy engagement initiatives and process improvements across the EU and UK Privacy Policy team. This includes mapping of processes and improved communications to help identify opportunities for efficiency and enhancement of knowledge management across the team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, get-things-done professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with all levels of the organization. They will have demonstrated the ability to coordinate with cross-functional leads on time/mission critical operational issues spanning policy, legal, communications, product, and other interdependent teams. Requisition Intake Form This person will be highly organized, productive, poised, and able to thrive in high-pressure, time[1]sensitive scenarios. This position will be based in remote locations in London and reports to the Director of Privacy Policy, Europe.Responsibilities:Project, Process and Budget Management: · Establish project plans and strategic planning templates to track and manage privacy external engagement initiatives· Team budget tracking, contract & payment, including scoping and communications with external partners and execution of internal procurement processes · Management of team engagement calendar and a CRM tool to provide a centralized view across the privacy team on external engagement · Work with events and policy programs teams to develop and execute on event strategy Communications Management:· Streamline internal communication strategies and channels for privacy and public policy team on external engagement· Coordinate with the privacy and public policy team on global internal communication strategies, messages, and mechanisms · Prepare presentations for delivery to specific audiences e.g., monthly updates, leadership monthly policy updates and business updates on engagement and sentiment · Coordinate tracking of external conversations and sentiment of key influencers in the privacy community· Events coordination including preparing promotional materials with the organizerKnowledge Management:
  • Maintain and improve privacy engagement knowledge sharing processes and procedures, including content management through our internal channels
  • Act as a resource and subject matter expert for knowledge sharing best practices, leveraging other internal and external resources
Skills:
  • Visuals (Google Docs/Powerpoint/chatGPT – proper prompts for visuals) / Drafting communication in concise manner
  •  Program management or client servicing experience
  •  Good to have skills
  • Business-level/Professional English
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in project management
  • BA Degree or higher
  • Experience with business process management, workflow, and life cycle management
  • Strong knowledge of public policy environment and dynamics
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  •  Experience in the privacy and technology policy fields preferred
