Our client, a highly respected and reputable recognised membership organisation within the construction and roofing sector, is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance for their Competent Person Scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a technically driven organisation that upholds high standards across the industry.

The Role

As Compliance Manager, you will:

Lead and develop a team of inspectors, ensuring high-quality auditing and performance standards.

Work closely with technical teams to ensure robust audit and compliance processes.

Develop and maintain technical compliance policies aligned with ISO/IEC 17065:2012.

Provide guidance to contractors on industry standards and regulatory updates.

Represent the organisation at forums, events, and committee meetings.

Conduct risk assessments, surveillance inspections, and drive standardisation across audits.

Key Responsibilities

Guide and manage performance of inspectors through effective leadership.

Create and implement compliance policies and training programmes.

Conduct technical assessments in roofing and cladding disciplines.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold industry standards.

Ensure regulatory compliance with building regulations and associated British Standards.

Produce detailed audit findings, reports, and policy documentation.

Person Specification

In-depth compliance and auditing knowledge, ideally with ISO/IEC 17065:2012.

Broad technical expertise in pitched, flat, and metal roofing, and associated regulations.

Strong risk management, report writing, and conflict resolution skills.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and support a team.

Relevant qualifications such as Certified Compliance Manager (CCM) or equivalent.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
