Financial Compliance Manager | International Media Agency | London | Hybrid working

JasperRose are currently partnering with GroupM, the world’s leading media investment company and the parent company of well-known agencies like Mindshare, Wavemaker, and EssenceMediaCom to recruit a Financial Compliance Manager. This role will be based in their London Bridge Head Office (hybrid working) and will report into the Commercial Compliance Director.

This role will support the Commercial Compliance Director in ensuring the agency complies with contractual commitments, managing charging mechanisms and client notifications, while also strengthening systems, controls, and processes to mitigate revenue loss risks.

Duties include:

  • Collaborate with the commercial and finance teams to ensure correct application of commercial terms, including charging methodology and compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate client audits, liaise with third-party audit firms, and manage the compliance schedule to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Review and improve existing control processes, ensuring that income opportunities are captured and all client notifications and declarations are managed.
  • Analyse transactional processes and assess control robustness around income-generating activities, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Provide training on commercial compliance matters and ensure the implementation of new financial and commercial group policies within the agency.

The requirements:

  • Business or finance degree or equivalent experience in a finance role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and understanding of the media and communications industry, with direct experience being desirable but not essential.
  • Proactive, with a logical and analytical thought process, high attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and their practical application
