Our client, is currently seeking an experienced Principal Enforcement Officer for a contract position. This role involves ensuring compliance with housing standards through inspections and enforcement actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive inspections under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
- Drafting detailed schedules of work and serving notices in accordance with the Housing Act 2004
- Preparing prosecution bundles and providing testimony in court or at the First-tier Tribunal (FTT)
- Issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
- Managing conflicts effectively during enforcement activities
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in carrying out HHSRS inspections
- Proficiency in writing work schedules and serving statutory notices under the Housing Act 2004
- Experience in preparing prosecution documentation and appearing as a witness in legal proceedings
- Skilled in issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
- Strong conflict management abilities
- Significant experience in high-level enforcement actions, including prosecutions and CPNs
