Risk & Compliance Analyst | London Market Broker | London/Hybrid | £28 - 40,000 (doe)

Our client, a global London market broker are seeking a diligent and proactive Risk & Compliance Analyst to join their team.

As a key part of the second line of defence, you will work closely with senior team colleagues to provide Risk & Compliance advice, guidance, and support across the Group. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a positive regulatory risk culture and ensure adherence to relevant laws, rules, and standards.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the team in implementing and delivering the Governance and Internal Control and Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Supporting the team in Sanctions and Financial Crime screening practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with service levels for completing Due Diligence processes
  • Staying updated on global regulatory and legal changes and inform team manager of any emerging matters.
  • Collaborating with business areas to obtain quarterly Gifts & Hospitality submissions, Conflicts of Interest declarations, and manage complaints effectively.
  • Managing the group's risk & compliance mailbox.
  • Contributing to compliance, legal, and regulatory projects as assigned.

Experience required:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience of working within risk management or compliance.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience of working in a regulated industry (insurance is preferred)
  • An interest in and basic knowledge of the global regulatory and legal environment, Financial and Economic Sanctions.
  • Some knowledge of Data Protection law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, driven, and motivated team player.
  • Disciplined and self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team.

Please note that this role is initially 5 days on-site with hybrid flexibility afforded after a successful training period.
