A well-run primary school in Haringey are looking for a trained primary teacher to provide additional teaching and intervention work within year 4.

The Role

In this role you will be a part of the year 4 team to expand the 2-form-entry year in to a year group with 3 teachers. The year group has a higher than average number of pupils with additional learning needs (EAL / SEN / behaviour) and  so the school want to create smaller teaching classes to give more individual attention.

You will not hold a full class responsibility. In the mornings you will teach the full core curriculum to a group of 14 children (mixed ability) drawn from the other 2 classes. The afternoons will involve some intervention or taking the other year 4 classes to allow those teachers to do intervention.

You will share planning with the other teachers (this would be 1/3 of planning) and will have less marking / report writing etc

You will have the advantage of working with experienced and supportive teachers to plan and prepare appropriate sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who would like a change from class teaching.
