The Primary School located in the heart of Tower Hamlets, London are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated PPA Teacher to join their school to provide support to their teaching and leadership team in covering classes from Nursery to Year 6.
In this role you will deliver high quality lessons to a range of year groups from Nursery to Year 6, providing cover while teachers have their PPA time or to cover leadership/ECT time. Education and training provided.
All planning is provided, however you will need to have a creative and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the class and of course add your own flair!
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified teachers. For ECTs this is a great way to gain experience across year groups and to help you secure an ECT role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with existing plans
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues following cover sessions
- Contribute to the wider life of the school promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal PPA Teacher, Tower Hamlets:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Strong classroom management and a flexible, adaptable teaching style
- Confidence teaching across a range of primary age groups
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude
- Live in or be able to commute to Tower Hamlets
