Your New Primary Schools
We are actively recruiting supply teachers for primary schools across Newham. Our long-standing partnerships with schools in the area mean we receive frequent bookings, averaging 3-4 placements per week from a key partner school. This guarantees consistent work opportunities throughout the term. Whether you prefer full-time availability or occasional placements, you can choose how often you work. Schools offer both pre-booked cover and morning-call assignments, ensuring flexibility to suit your schedule. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Your role as a Primary Supply Teacher

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will bring expertise in Early Years, KS1, or KS2, ensuring seamless classroom continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons that follow school curriculum plans or adapting materials for unplanned cover.
  • Creating a positive and well-managed learning environment that fosters student progress.
  • Following school policies and procedures to ensure a smooth transition for pupils.
  • Providing marking and feedback at the end of lessons.
  • Leaving a detailed handover for the class teacher to maintain consistency.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • QTS and a PGCE qualification.
  • Proven experience in a primary classroom setting.
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within Newham.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays.
