SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking Primary School in Islington, currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their KS1 team from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Class Teacher who is passionate about teaching, inspiring young minds, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential in KS1.

? The Role - Year 2 Class Teacher:

  • Take full classroom responsibility as a Year 2 Teacher, teaching a vibrant and engaged class
  • Deliver creative, well-planned lessons that follow the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Ensure consistent assessment, marking, and feedback to support pupil progress
  • Focus on high-quality Phonics instruction and support early reading development
  • Differentiate activities to meet the diverse needs of learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
  • Establish a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Work closely with your year group partner and wider KS1 team
  • Participate in regular CPD, staff meetings, and contribute to wider school life

? Ideal Candidate - Year 2 Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has recent experience as a KS1 or Primary Teacher
  • Confident in delivering engaging Phonics lessons and promoting reading fluency
  • Skilled at behaviour management and creating a positive learning atmosphere
  • Well-organised, reliable, and able to plan and teach independently
  • Understands the importance of inclusive, pupil-centred teaching
  • Has strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Brings energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching
