White City, West London

September 2025 start - Maternity contract for 1 year with possible extension

Reeson Education are working with a vibrant, forward-thinking but traditional trust based in the heart of White City. This primary school has most recently been awarded 'Oustanding' by Ofsted in all areas including leadership and management and the behaviour and attitudes of students. Located a short walk from White City and Wood Lane station, this school is easily commutable from most parts of London. The headteacher and senior leadership team are friendly, welcoming and supportive, they encourage teachers to work together and be creative with lesson plans.

The headteacher is looking for a reception teacher to join the team from September 2025 and stay with school for next academic year. There is opportunity for the reception teacher to be offered another position within school from September 2026 and should any staff movement occur during the reception teacher's contract, you will be considered for other opportunities ahead of outside candidates. You will be responsible for full class teaching, planning and delivering lessons, setting out class activities, managing behaviors within the classroom, checking and marking any work, meeting with other staff members, parents and outside agencies where appropriate.

Within the class, the reception teacher will have support of multiple teaching assistant, learning support assistants working 1:1 with SEN pupils and outside of this you will be supported fully by the other reception teacher, early years phase leader, deputy head and the head teacher. This role is suitable for experienced reception teachers or ECTs.

You will need to hold UK certified QTS, have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and some experience working within reception class or nursery. The successful reception teacher will be passionate about education within the early years, compassionate and understanding whilst able to control behaviours and set firm boundaries.
