This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early learning, confident with phonics, and excited to make a lasting impact during this crucial stage of education.

The school is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher who can bring creativity, warmth, and consistency to the classroom. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time Year 1 Teacher position within a well-established, two-form entry school
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Lead high-quality phonics instruction using a structured phonics programme (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle)
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 Teacher to share ideas and resources
  • Monitor pupil progress closely and adapt learning where necessary
  • Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and support staff
  • Support pupils' transition from the EYFS stage and nurture a love for learning early on

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Year 1 Teacher (UK QTS required)
  • Experience or strong understanding of teaching systematic phonics
  • Confident in delivering a balanced and engaging KS1 curriculum
  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and passionate about early childhood education
  • Committed to creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Open to ECTs or experienced Year 1 Teachers looking for a fresh opportunity
