SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a dynamic and inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington to recruit a skilled and motivated Year 5 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator with a passion for upper Key Stage 2 and preparing pupils for the transition to Year 6 and beyond.
The school is seeking an experienced or aspiring Year 5 Teacher to lead a class of enthusiastic learners with creativity, high expectations, and strong subject knowledge. This full-time role begins in September 2025, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right teacher.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time Year 5 Teacher position in a well-resourced, two-form entry school
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the full KS2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy
- Collaborate closely with the parallel Year 5 Teacher to plan lessons and moderate work
- Develop pupils' independence, critical thinking, and resilience
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Support students with varying abilities, including those with SEND or EAL
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified Year 5 Teacher (UK QTS required)
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment framework
- Confident teaching upper KS2 English, Maths, and foundation subjects
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Passion for creating an engaging and purposeful learning environment
- Reflective, committed, and a strong team player
- ECTs and experienced Year 5 Teachers welcome to apply
