Job Title: Area SENCoDivision: Education & Learning

Contract: Temp, 4-months, 35 hours per week, not term-time only

We're looking for a driven and forward-thinking professional to help lead the development and delivery of inclusive practice across secondary schools - building capacity, raising standards, and creating a culture where every student can thrive.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion and embed a borough-wide SEND strategy across secondary education settings
  • Coach SENCOs and senior leaders to improve outcomes and teaching quality
  • Lead targeted early intervention approaches to reduce suspensions and exclusions
  • Work collaboratively with support services and partners to improve attendance and engagement
  • Shape and deliver impactful SEN CPD programmes and strategic training
  • Support schools in building sustainable SEN provision and inclusive environments
  • Monitor performance, lead a team, and contribute to broader service planning and delivery

What You Bring:

  • Substantial experience as a SENCo or in a senior role within secondary education
  • Deep understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive teaching practices, and school improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a solution-focused mindset
  • Experience working collaboratively across multi-agency teams
  • Commitment to driving equity, inclusion, and positive outcomes for vulnerable learners
