Behaviour Mentor - SEMH Primary School Newham

Salary: 88 - 120 per day

Position: Full-time

TimePlan Education are currently seeking a passionate and committed Behaviour Mentor for a primary school in Newham, working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their behaviour and develop essential social and emotional skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children who require additional support to thrive in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  • Provide emotional support to children, encouraging resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
  • Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong commitment to working with children and helping them to overcome challenges.
