A friendly and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a confident and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to support children who require additional behaviour and emotional support, ensuring they thrive both academically and socially.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support for pupils across the school
Implement positive behaviour strategies and personalised interventions
Support children with SEMH and challenging behaviour, helping them regulate and engage in learning
Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver consistent support
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, promoting resilience and self-confidence
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with behavioural needs, SEMH, or SEN
Patient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure
Skilled in behaviour management with a proactive, solution-focused approach
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Committed to supporting inclusion and improving outcomes for all pupils
