Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual ready to make a significant impact? Long Term Futures is seeking an exceptional Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school environment in the Lewisham area. This is a brilliant chance to contribute meaningfully to the lives of pupils by guiding their social, emotional, and behavioural development.

The Behaviour Mentor role is critical. At Long Term Futures, we specalise in securing the right placement for you, focusing on stability and progression. This is a long-term role, offering stability with the genuine potential for a permanent position. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff to cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.



Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted one-on-one and small group support to pupils.

  • Implement effective, proactive strategies to assist children with emotional regulation.

  • Build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with students.

  • Apply de-escalation techniques calmly and efficiently during challenging moments.



Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting children's behaviour within an educational setting.

  • A solid understanding of varied behaviour management and support techniques.

  • The essential ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

  • A valid enhanced DBS check is required, or the willingness to undergo the application process immediately.
