High Level Teacher Assistant
Location: Greenwich
Start date: Immediate start until July 2026
Contract: Temporary, Full time
Salary: 90-95 day rate
Are you a confident and experienced education professional ready to step into a flexible and impactful role? We are currently seeking High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich, starting as soon as possible.
This is a designated HLTA role with responsibilities that go beyond typical classroom support, ideal for someone with the confidence and capability to step into a teaching role when required and work flexibly across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering lessons across year groups (EYFS to Year 6) in the absence of the teacher, following planning provided
- Providing targeted support and small-group interventions under teacher direction
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when needed, both in and out of class
- Assisting with planning, assessment, and classroom preparation
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff to support high-quality teaching and learning
What We're Looking For:
- A recognised HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level
- Confidence to lead classes across EYFS to Year 6
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs throughout the school day
- Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Up-to-date safeguarding training or willingness to complete it
