Lead Practitioner for SENDInner London | Full-Time - 32.5 hours per week Start Date: 1 September 2025Permanent | Leadership Scale L1-L5 (Inner London)Your New RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Lead Practitioner for SEND to join a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school within a dynamic federation in Inner London. This is a key leadership role for a dedicated professional who is committed to driving outstanding SEND provision and inclusive practice across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

We are looking for a highly skilled practitioner with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of outstanding teaching.
  • Extensive SEND experience, including work with EHCPs, autism, SEMH, and SLCN.
  • Leadership experience as a SENDCo, Assistant SENDCo, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
  • Strong assessment and intervention planning skills.
  • A collaborative approach to multi-agency working.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and delivering CPD to staff.

Desirable:

  • NASENCo qualification (or working towards it).
  • Expertise in inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to whole-school improvement.
