About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our thriving Primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Woolwich. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support our students with a range of learning and developmental needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality, inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities for students with special educational needs.

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, focusing on their individual needs.

Help students develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.

Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.

Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all students.

Work closely with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Maintain accurate records and reports of students' progress.
About You:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

A willingness to learn and attend relevant training.

A proactive team player who can contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
Requirements:

Experience working in a SEN setting is desirable but not essential.

A passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
