Primary Teaching Assistant - Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London

Pay: 95 - 115 per day

Veritas Education is delighted to be supporting a warm, inclusive, and community-focused primary school in Greenwich, who are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026.

This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is well known for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to supporting every child's academic, social, and emotional development. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships in the classroom.

This position is ideal for a patient, enthusiastic, and empathetic individual who is passionate about helping children thrive in an engaging and inclusive primary setting.



The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:

  • Proven experience supporting children in a primary school setting (essential)

  • Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour

  • Patience, empathy, and resilience, particularly when supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff and families



Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support

  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
