Location: Havering

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Havering.

You will help the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities, assisting individuals and supporting small group learning, whilst promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

You may be responsible for providing one-on-one support to children/ a child with special educational needs, helping them to engage and learn in a nurturing environment with personalised education plans tailored to each child's unique needs, encouraging participation and confidence.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience of working with children who have special educational needs, especially those who can present challenges is advantageous
  • A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of students
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, teachers etc.
  • Relevant qualifications or training
