Description
Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, the Data Protection Analyst/Paralegal will be an important member of the privacy function. Alongside the DPO, Data Protection Manager and wider legal team, the Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of the company's data protection strategy.
- Handling data protection queries from across the business.
- Assisting with DPIAs (data protection impact assessments).
- Responding to DSARs.
- Advising on ROPAs.
- Providing advice on data protection issues.
- Developing and delivering data protection training.
- Monitoring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies.
- Assisting with the management of data breaches and other incidents.
- Producing regular reports on the company's data protection compliance.
Profile
A successful Data Protection Analyst should have:
- A strong educational background in Law or related field.
- Experience in a data protection /or compliance /or commercial contracts.
- Be passionate about data protection and developing in the field.
- Some knowledge of data protection laws and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
