We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a General Manager and Head Chef to run a busy, fast-paced restaurant located on the beachfront in El Albir.
As a General Manager and Head Chef you will bring strong leadership, creativity, and expertise in hospitality management and Mediterranean cuisine. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant setting.
El Albir, in the municipality of LAlfs del Pi, Alicante, offers a stunning Mediterranean lifestyle with its beautiful beaches, relaxed atmosphere and year-round sunshine. The area is popular with both locals and international residents, providing a welcoming community, excellent amenities and easy access to Alicante airport.

DUTIES
Your duties as the General Manager and Head Chef include:
- Overseeing Restaurant Operations: Manage all aspects of a busy, fast-paced restaurant and cocktail bar
- Leading the Team: Recruit, train and motivate staff across front of house and kitchen
- Stock and Supplier Management: Maintain supplier relationships, manage stock and achieve profit margins
- Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional hospitality as the face of the business
- Kitchen Management: Lead menu creation, oversee high-quality food preparation and ensure consistent standards
- Mediterranean Cuisine: Prepare and cook dishes inspired by Mediterranean flavours
- Health and Safety: Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and workplace safety compliance
- Business Development: Drive the restaurant forward with innovative ideas and enthusiasm
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Proven experience of running a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality venue
- Previous experience in Mediterranean cuisine and high-quality dining environments
- Strong leadership, communication and team management skills
- Experience with stock control, supplier management and margin optimisation
- Fluent in Spanish and English with legal right to live and work in Spain
DESIRABLE
- Enthusiasm for menu development and seasonal produce
- A background in recruitment, training and staff development
- Hands-on approach with a passion for customer service
- Ability to drive (essential for at least one team member)
