We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Engineer to provide leadership and direction to a team of shift engineers within our high-performing FMCG environment. The successful candidate will manage the team’s focus on agreed engineering priorities, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently to meet production performance targets. This role is key to maintaining site reliability and manufacturing efficiency through effective leadership. You’ll ensure smooth shift handovers, optimise workforce utilisation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute maintenance activities in line with plant gaps, shutdowns, and reliability improvements.
  • Develop and deliver improvement plans to enhance equipment performance.

  • Attend daily engineering meetings to align priorities and communicate updates.
  • Develop and deliver improvement plans to enhance equipment performance.
  • Maintain systems and controls that ensure quality production at all times.
  • Drive waste elimination initiatives and deliver cost-saving improvements.
  • Support delivery of key KPIs across Safety, Quality, Waste, and Capacity.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship preferred
  • Electrically biased
  • Able to lead the engineers on the electrical and mechanical side
