The PTI (formerly The Prince’s Teaching Institute) is a successful education charity that supports teachers in primary and secondary schools in England and Wales. It runs several membership programmes and hundreds of subject specific events per year for all types of teacher and is the UK’s leading provider of in-service subject specific training.

The PTI is now looking for an ambitious and high calibre new or recent graduate. The ideal candidate will be well-organised and eager to develop in their careers. They will be passionate about the power of education to transform young people’s lives. You will be part of a highly motivated and supportive team who are developing and planning programmes and events that inspire teachers and strengthen their teaching. You will come to work each day knowing that you are playing a key role in helping teachers to provide an excellent education to young people.

The PTI is one of the most influential and prestigious providers of support for teachers, not only impacting on individual schools and teachers, but helping to shape the national debate about education.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in a small and successful charity where you will be encouraged to think for yourself and take responsibility for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will have day-to-day contact with a wide variety of teachers, headteachers and other school staff. The successful applicants will join the full-time staff of fifteen and work closely with The PTI teacher leaders, and the full-time team led by Co-Director, Hugh Rayment-Pickard.

The charity is currently offering a hybrid office / working from home schedule. All staff have the option to work at home on Mondays and Tuesdays, and are required in the office on Wednesdays – Fridays. All IT equipment will be provided, but a home internet connection will be needed should the successful applicants wish to work at home for a part of the week. 

Typically in term time you will be required once a week to travel to administer training events in England and Wales, which may involve staying overnight.  (All costs of travel, accommodation and subsistence are covered by the charity.)
