Job Title: Project Manager
Contract: 6-Month Rolling – Potential for permanent work if you desire
Rate: £200–£300 per day (Depending on Experience) LTD Company or via Umbrella
Location: London based with UK-Wide Travel Required
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a practical, hands-on Project Manager to oversee the nationwide rollout of roadside battery energy storage and power infrastructure installations. You’ll coordinate multiple live sites across the UK, ensuring smooth delivery through strong organisation, communication, and technical understanding.

This position suits someone with a background in civil, electrical, or utilities-based projects — someone confident managing contractors, resolving site issues quickly, and keeping delivery on track in a fast-paced environment.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of roadside Battery Box and related infrastructure installations (initially 4 per week, scaling to 8 by year-end)

  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and site teams across multiple UK locations

  • Liaise with DNOs, councils, and permitting authorities to secure connections and access

  • Ensure all works meet technical, safety, and quality requirements, aligned to CDM and H&S standards

  • Track project performance, costs, and timelines — escalating risks and resolving issues proactively

  • Conduct site visits where needed to assess progress and validate contractor performance

  • Maintain clear communication and reporting with stakeholders on delivery progress, issues, and KPIs

Project Manager Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience delivering civil or electrical infrastructure or streetworks/utility installation projects

  • Solid knowledge of low voltage (LV) and 3-phase electrical systems

  • Background in power connections, EV charging, battery storage, telecoms rollout, or substation works

  • Experience liaising with DNOs, local authorities, and permitting bodies

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally

  • Comfortable working under pressure while managing multiple concurrent sites

Project Manager Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience in battery storage, EV charging, telecoms, or roadside infrastructure rollout

  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations, RAMS, and site safety procedures

  • Practical, adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lead delivery teams and subcontractors through influence and collaboration

If you’re a Project Manager with experience in civil/electrical rollout or infrastructure delivery and enjoy fast-moving, field-based programmes, we’d love to hear from you.
