We’re looking for a client-focused insurance professional to take ownership of our client’s key residential property portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a team, while working closely with a long-standing client using a captive placement structure. You will be at the forefront of driving both client growth and team development.Â
This is a hands-on position combining technical broking expertise with leadership and relationship management, ensuring you support your team while delivering exceptional service and strategic account growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and nurture long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all insurance needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure service delivery standards are met and goals are achieved.
- Renewal and New Business: Oversee the full renewal cycle for a complex residential property portfolio, while also driving the growth of new business within the client’s Captive programme.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Account Handlers and other team members to ensure a seamless client experience, supporting both day-to-day service and strategic initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Conduct regular site visits and meetings with clients, including monthly visits to various locations across the UK.
- Insurer Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with key insurers, managing negotiations for optimal terms on renewals and new placements.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all policies are compliant with industry regulations and that the Captive insurance structure remains aligned with the client’s evolving risk strategy.
About YouAttributes: Skills: Qualifications
Candidates must meet the essential criteria through relevant experience or demonstrated transferable skills. However, desirable attributes, skills, and qualifications will be considered a strong advantage.
Essential:
- Proven experience in an Account Executive role, ideally within residential or commercial property insurance.
- Strong technical understanding of Property Owners insurance (Captive knowledge is beneficial but not essential).
- Experience in managing client relationships with a focus on delivering tailored insurance solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Desirable:
- Leadership experience, particularly in team development, mentoring, and performance management.
- Knowledge of Captive insurance placements or alternative risk transfer models.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., FCA, Consumer Duty).
