Overview
H9 Talent Solutions are hiring for a Land Manager with a strong background in solar and wind development to join our clients growing London-based team. You will be responsible for securing, managing and maintaining land agreements essential to the success of their renewable energy projects across the UK.
This is a pivotal role in the early-stage development process, requiring excellent negotiation skills, a deep understanding of land acquisition for energy infrastructure and the ability to build long-term relationships with landowners, agents and stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and secure land for new solar and wind projects through option and lease agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents and local stakeholders
- Negotiate and manage Heads of Terms and legal agreements with support from internal legal counsel
- Conduct site visits and liaise with technical and planning teams to assess land suitability
- Maintain a pipeline of suitable land opportunities aligned with grid and planning constraints
- Collaborate with the development team to support planning applications and community engagement
- Ensure land rights and agreements are accurately recorded and managed through the project lifecycle
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to land access, title, and tenure
- Keep abreast of changes in policy, land law, and renewable energy trends that impact development strategy
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in land acquisition or land management within the renewable energy sector (solar and/or wind essential
- Proven track record of securing and negotiating land deals for infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of UK land law, property rights, and renewable project development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK
- RICS or CAAV accreditation (desirable but not essential)
Salary:
- Up to £75,000 per year plus bonus
