Responsibilities
  • Respond within set timescales to requests from the SEND Team for statutory assessments of special educational needs for Waltham Forest children and young people.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological advice to support the statutory process.
  • Conduct robust, high-quality, and comprehensive assessments of children and young people to identify and assess their special and developmental needs.
  • Advise on suitable and effective provision while considering educational, family, and community contexts.
Person Specification
  • Professional qualification as an Educational Psychologist recognized by the British Psychological and Health Care Professional Council.
  • Effective administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in IT skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
