New role working with a major UK residential developer on a 6 month freelance contract.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on new build volume residential developments in the final handover phase in order to be selected.
Applicants need to be well versed in both Mechanical & Electrical packages in order to be selected, interviews will take place this week with the view to start asap.

Job description
- Facilitate and manage the final handover process for both mechanical and electrical systems, including sprinklers.
- Lead cause-and-effect test and demonstration as per the agreed script, final witnessing, and training with the client, third parties by coordinating with all subcontractors.
- Address daily M&E work blockers and coordinate with the appropriate personnel.
- Follow up with contractors regarding their testing and commissioning certificates, review the certificates, and approve them.
- Manage the following packages: Electrical finals, Access control, CCTV, Lift systems, Mechanical systems, Plumbing, Sprinklers, External lighting, Office shell and core CAT B works
- Coordinate and lead client M&E consultant inspections, address the findings promptly, and close them out through contractors.
- Identify any early builders' works needed to accommodate last-minute design changes.
- Raise RFIs and NCRs as necessary and respond fast.
- Coordinate and lead MEP-focused meetings, issue minutes, and maintain an action list.
- Help produce final handover paperwork, such as metering strategies, readings, training documentation, and record keeping.
Requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical background with min HND or NVQ level 6 or similar qualification.
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- First Aid
