A global Japanese company is currently recruiting a Communications Officer to work in their London office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing initiatives in philanthropy and communications, balancing hands-on execution with larger project management responsibilities, and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant subject, strong communication skills, professional level English and Japanese, and knowledge of corporate sustainability.

Communications Officer Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the operation for EMEA including responsibilities and tasks that may include administrative work, communication with foundation partners, preparation for trustee meetings
- Contribute to other philanthropy projects as necessary
- Handle the administration of the regional intranet and utilise other forms of communication to provide necessary information to local and regional staff
- Update the regional website and associated communication with the Head Office
- Plan and execute the Employee Update Meeting on a regular basis
- Give presentations about the company and its policies/initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Preparation of speeches for senior management for events and other purposes
- Support the department's day-to-day administrative tasks
Communications Officer Ideal Candidate:
- Degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Strong communicator able to develop effective professional relationships
- Professional level English and Japanese, with both written and verbal language skills
- Current knowledge of, and/or interest in, corporate communications and/or corporate philanthropy
- Capable of conceptualising, planning, and driving projects forward independently
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to function as a member of a team in a large organisation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong level Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment
- Experience working in corporate communications and/or corporate philanthropy
