We are supporting a high-growth, international Financial Services organisation in their search for an Interim Head of Procurement to lead procurement activity through a period of transition and change following a recent carve-out from a global parent company.

This is a newly created role to support the establishment of an in-house procurement capability. With services previously delivered via a larger group function, the business is now standing up its own procurement team, processes, and systems from scratch.

The Role

This is a high-impact, hands-on interim opportunity, reporting directly to the CFO. The successful candidate will help shape the future direction of the procurement function, supporting both short-term operational needs and longer-term strategic planning.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting an initial assessment of current procurement landscape, priorities, and risks

  • Supporting transition from legacy group services (carve-out activity)

  • Advising on immediate sourcing and supplier management requirements

  • Helping to define the future team structure, roadmap, and operating model

  • Developing foundational procurement processes, policies, and controls

  • Laying the groundwork for a permanent hire to build the function long-term

About You

We're looking for a senior procurement professional with:

  • Strong generalist experience across multiple categories (e.g. tech, consultancy, corporate services)

  • Proven experience in greenfield, transformation, or carve-out environments

  • The ability to work at pace and bring clarity to ambiguous situations

  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, particularly in finance and operations

  • Familiarity with third-party risk management would be an advantage
