My client, is looking for an experienced IT Procurement Manager, who has the skills, values, mindset and potential to help the business with their strategic ambitions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand the process for conducting Opportunity Assessment Reviews and support the delivery of reviews through undertaking activities such as detailed data analysis, stakeholder interviews and report development.
  • Undertake research and use shared knowledge of best practice to develop innovations that support the delivery of cost improvements and benefits to clients.
  • Follow engagement specific benefits realisation processes and ensure benefits are adequately identified and supported with strategies to deliver and or evidence that they can be achieved.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders escalate where support may be required to overcome challenging circumstances.
  • Lead or support identification and delivery of savings initiatives across areas of project responsibility. As a member of a Category Group, support activities that contribute to knowledge sharing, product development, best practice delivery, innovation (e.g., white paper development and case studies) and actively work to start developing own area of subject matter expertise.
  • Identify and support conversion of opportunities for up-sell in client engagements and support the development of propositions and business cases.
  • Utilise tools and methodologies to support the delivery of procurement processes and projects and in support of transformation and change activities.
  • Responsible for delivering assigned workstreams within multiple projects simultaneously using defined methodologies.
  • Responsibilities may also include undertaking PMO activities to support larger projects and programmes such as planning, reporting, maintaining project plans and risk logs.
  • Deploy and administer contract management and SRM principles to deliver performance management initiatives on behalf of clients where applicable.

Skills:

  • IT Procurement Experience
  • Public Sector Experience
  • Proven experience with Cost Saving projects - needs to have stats in their CV's with money saved, % below budget ect.
  • Displays high degree of organisational skills and manages own time effectively and efficiently whilst working across multiple engagements.
  • Has a good understanding of project management cycle and displays skills required to manage own assignments using supporting methodologies.
