About the role

Our team is expanding and we are seeking a Procurement and SRM Partner to join us. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy which can be based in either our Oldham or central London office. 

The main purpose of the role is to develop and deliver expert support in procurement and contract management to achieve value for money throughout Guinness. 

We appreciate that flexibility is important, so we offer a hybrid working style with 3 office based days per week. 

What we’re looking for

We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do, so you’ll not only be an experienced procurement professional with a social housing / public sector background, but you’ll also highly motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. 

You’ll also be able to demonstrate

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of IT procurement in a public sector/social housing organisation. 
  • Experience of adding value and additional commercial benefit through the development of constructive supplier relationships.
  • Experience of managing the complete tendering process.
  • Proven project / programme management experience including ability to manage large scale multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience of implementing Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators in relation to Contract Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK procurement regulatory requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of business management principles including decision making, negotiation, planning, budgeting and projections.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • MCIPS qualified and/or equivalent.
