Our client, a leading world-class aerospace material supplier, specializing in a comprehensive range of chemicals, paints, adhesives, sealants, composites, and consumables tailored for the aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector, are looking to recruit a Procurement Buyer based at their offices inLondon.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Procurement Director and working with Procurement team to drive efficiency and deliver cost savings, supplier rationalisation and to work with Sales team to maintain optimum stock inventory to generate revenue and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Procurement Buyer:
- Supporting the P2P process with a team of Procurement buyers.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and general stock replenishment.
- Purchase goods, materials and components in line with customer demand.
- Ensure stocking levels are at the optimum levels.
- Resolve supplier quality material issues identified in warehouse (documentation and quality).
- Work with sales to provide general updates/changes to the open purchase orders.
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
- Ensure that professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
- Working closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
To Be Considered
- Experience working within a purchasing team, preferably within Aerospace or Manufacturing
- Experience within a purchasing / procurement / buying role
- Chartered Institute or Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualifications or studying towards CIPS qualifications would be beneficial.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and changing work environment.
- Self-motivated and confident.
- Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial.
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills along with managing time effectively, priorities tasks and achieve set targets.
- Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the Business and customer order fulfilment.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
