Procurement Officer
Hourly Rate: 16 - 17.50
Contract: 6 months, hybrid 1 day in office at Canary Wharf. Monday - Friday 36hrs per week

Are you an experienced Procurement Officer looking for your next challenge. Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a temporary basis for six months. If you have a strong understanding of procurement regulations and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to our client's Directorates and staff on procurement regulations, processes, and best practises.
  • Assist in the planning and development of procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and controls.
  • Collaborate with procurement managers and business partners to review and draught business cases, contract specifications, and other essential documentation.
  • Lead lower value and lower risk procurement requests from initial request through to contract award, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Manage key documentation to ensure contracts are correctly authorised and retained in line with organisational requirements.
  • Oversee the travel management system, adding new users and providing support to colleagues navigating the system.

What We're Looking For:

  • A proactive and organised individual with a strong understanding of procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to support decision-making processes.
  • Experience in managing documentation and contracts effectively.
