Sea Global are proud to be partnering with one of the largest Logistics companies in the UK. They are currently in the early stages of a big IT transformation, which has resulted in this exciting, brand new, Senior Procurement Manager vacancy.

They are looking for someone with extensive IT procurement experience to lead and manage the Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) sub category. The succesful candidate will ideally have experience within the Logistics or a similar industry. Ideally you will be comfortable with ADM and a range of IT categories, contract management, senior stakeholder management, process optimization, strategy creation, and general end-to-end IT procurement experience.

The role is a new position in the business, providing a very exciting opportunity for someone to come in and create, transform and improve the IT ADM space for a world leading business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertake a thorough analysis of the current state of ADM procurement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives
  • Deliver end-to-end procurement including negotiating and supplier relationship management
  • Ensure everything implemented complies with internal policies and external regulations
  • Select and ensure effective integration of new procurement technologies and tools
  • Identify and mitigate risks including ensuring robust contract management and supplier performance monitoring processes are in place
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as across other business departments, ensuring close collaboration and alignment

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience working for a leading business across a range of IT categories, ideally having extensive ADM experience
  • Excellent understanding of procurement policies and procedures
  • Proven experience of contract management and negotiating terms
  • Ideally knowledge of compliance requirements related to procurement activities
  • Strong communication skills and can demonstrate influencing senior management
  • Ideally will be degree and MCIPS qualified
