Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for delivering best-in-class sourcing strategies in the public sector? We are currently recruiting two Senior Sourcing Manager roles on behalf of a leading London-based healthcare organisation.

About the Role

As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering complex sourcing activity aligned with strategic objectives, governance standards, and stakeholder priorities. You will act as a professional lead for sourcing initiatives, supporting category management and delivering value through end-to-end procurement planning and execution.

You will report to the Head of Sourcing and collaborate closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues across the wider procurement function to ensure delivery of high-impact, compliant, and value-driven outcomes.

Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans aligned with category goals

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from project initiation to contract award

  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal governance frameworks

  • Mentor and support junior team members and provide leadership on best practice

  • Proactively engage stakeholders to align sourcing outcomes with organisational priorities

  • Deliver against key performance metrics and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives

Profile

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Significant experience in a strategic procurement or category management role

  • Expertise in sourcing within public sector environments, particularly healthcare or complex regulated industries

  • Strong knowledge of modern procurement approaches, category planning, and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles

  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence at senior levels

  • Skilled in data analysis, negotiation, and strategic delivery

  • MCIPS qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience preferred

  • NHS/public sector procurement experience is advantageous but not essential
