We're currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the onsite delivery of a heritage residential development in South west London. Reporting into the Project Director, the role will involve managing the construction phase of a complex scheme that includes the restoration and conversion a listed building into high-quality homes.
This is a key position reporting directly to the Project Director, with responsibility for coordinating the build team and ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will have a solid track record in heritage-led construction and a strong understanding of the technical and regulatory requirements involved in working with historic structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the onsite build programme, ensuring quality, safety, and progress are maintained throughout.
- Oversee restoration works in line with listed building consent and conservation best practices.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and conservation officers to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the site team and heritage trades.
- Monitor build quality and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Report regularly to the Project Director on progress, risks, and resource needs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience delivering heritage or listed building projects within the residential sector.
- Strong knowledge of conservation techniques, traditional materials, and regulatory compliance for historic buildings.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
