Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential & Commercial Projects
Location: Office-based (Putney/Barnes)
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right person)
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
Annual Leave: 20 days + bank holidays

Are you a commercially minded Estimator or QS with a strong eye for detail and experience delivering projects upwards of £500k? We’re working with a growing construction company delivering bespoke high-end residential and commercial projects across London. They are now looking to bring on a full-time Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of their commercial function in-house.

As Estimator / QS, you’ll be involved across the full lifecycle of projects – from pricing tenders to overseeing commercial management and cost reporting. Your initial focus will be on smaller projects, but you’ll quickly move on to larger, more complex schemes.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing for new tenders

• Manage procurement and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors

• Produce cost value reconciliations and manage applications for payment

• Run job accounts from start to finish, including cost tracking and reporting

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Directors

• Background in Estimating and/or Quantity Surveying (ideally more Estimating experience)

• Experience working on projects valued over £500k

• Strong skills in Excel – experience with or interest in tools like Bluebeam a bonus

• Solid understanding of residential and/or commercial construction

• A proactive, detail-driven attitude with a team-first mentality

• Two stages:

  1. Initial interview with Director

  2. Final meeting with senior team and office staff

• Interviews held at their office in Putney/Barnes
