A reputable civil engineering contractor is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major highways term maintenance contract. Based in and around the E10 area, this hybrid role offers a mix of office, site, and remote working, supporting the delivery of long-term, high-value infrastructure maintenance works.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of ongoing highways maintenance and improvement works. This long-term framework requires someone with strong attention to detail, contract knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams both on-site and in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial activities across a term maintenance framework
- Prepare and submit applications for payment, variations, and final accounts
- Assist in subcontractor procurement, valuations, and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with NEC or other standard forms of contract
- Provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting to senior commercial staff
Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in highways, infrastructure, or maintenance frameworks
- Knowledge of NEC or other relevant contract forms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple locations
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
