Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Woolwich, Full-Time Office Based
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a medium-sized, Tier 1/2 FRA Specialist Contractor based in Woolwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to work with a leading contractor in the fire risk assessment (FRA) sector, managing cost control and commercial aspects of high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and controlling project costs from start to completion
- Preparing tender and contract documents
- Monitoring progress, assessing project risks, and advising on contractual issues
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency and project success
- Ensuring projects remain within budget and maintaining comprehensive financial reports
- Supporting project teams with valuations and variations
- Final account negotiation and settlement
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or FRA sector
- Knowledge of fire risk assessments (FRA) and fire protection works is desirable
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and financial control
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in relevant software packages
