Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing RefurbishmentLocation:Near Brixton, South LondonSalary:Up to £53,500 + benefits (DOE)Sector:Social Housing / Reactive Maintenance

A leading contractor specialising in the refurbishment and maintenance of social housing properties is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in South London. This is a key role supporting the delivery of reactive maintenance works on behalf of a local authority, helping to ensure homes are kept safe, compliant, and well-maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor who is looking to work on meaningful projects within a stable and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support project performance, ensuring contractual requirements and business strategies are implemented effectively and reviewed regularly
  • Prepare and present monthly cost and value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports
  • Contribute to tender reviews and assist in aligning project delivery with agreed financial targets
  • Agree valuations and cash flows with clients to maximise project value and ensure timely payments
  • Support the Commercial Manager with the preparation of final accounts for both main and subcontractor packages
  • Oversee subcontractor management processes including procurement, measurement, valuations, and contract administration
  • Ensure all contractual instructions, notices, and safety procedures are accurately followed and recorded

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the social housing, refurbishment, or reactive maintenance sectors
  • Strong understanding of cost management, contract compliance, and subcontractor processes
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams
  • Able to manage multiple priorities within a busy operational environment
