Location: Site-based across Central London

Our client is a leading main contractor specialising in complex refurbishment and fit-out projects across London. With a reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led schemes, they work with some of the UK’s most respected clients and consultants.

The Role - Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team. You’ll be working on high-profile cut and carve, structural refurbishment, and CAT A & CAT B fit-out projects ranging in value up to £60m.

This is a site-based role, offering the opportunity to be hands-on with live projects as a Quantity Surveyor and collaborate closely with delivery teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from procurement to final account.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation and contract administration.
  • Conduct valuations, variations and payment applications.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Support project teams with cost advice and risk management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in cut & carve, refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
