Our South East Piling Contractor Client is looking to employ a Quantity Surveyor to join their team overseeing multiple contracts and / or one specific major project ranging in value from £2.5m to £15m.
The role:
The day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Office based role with site visits or permanently site based depending on contract value, sites are in the London and Greater London area.
- Depending on contract value, the successful candidate will be running 1 to 5 jobs at any one time.
- Negotiate and place subcontract orders.
- Effectively communicate with group management and other associated disciplines.
- Produce cost and value reports and cash-flow information and present them to management.
- Provide commercial input to contacts with client's representatives.
- Draft and promote usage of commercial procedures.
- Provide input to risk profiling and management on projects.
- Final accounts
- Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs
The person:
The successful candidate will have as a minimum:
- Degree qualified or similar.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Cost and Value reporting experience essential.
- Interest in working for a specialist sub contractor.
