Quantity Surveyor

250-300 per day (6 month minimum)

South London/Lewisham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing cost management consultancy on an interim basis. You will be responsible for managing projects from feasibility through to final accounts, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and the highest quality of service for public-sector clients.

This role will predominantly be hybrid/remote working with visits to the office 1 to 2 times per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting across a range of public-sector projects
  • Manage tendering and procurement processes
  • Prepare and evaluate Bills of Quantities and contract documentation
  • Conduct valuations, prepare payment recommendations, and produce financial reports
  • Oversee contract administration and support dispute resolution where required
  • Provide advice on lifecycle costing and project feasibility
  • Mentor and guide junior team members
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local councils and project partners

About you:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in planned maintenance projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
