We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a leading tier-one contractor in London, to join a £150m residential project, starting immediately.

Job Description:

  • Lead commercial management as a Quantity Surveyor on a high-profile residential project in London.
  • Manage subcontractors including tender preparation, selection, negotiation, and Final Account completion.
  • Maintain accurate site records, valuations, variations, forecasts, and document control.
  • Collaborate with the site management team to protect commercial interests and manage project risk.
  • Mentor and oversee Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors to ensure high standards of work and compliance.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (or related discipline) working towards CIOB or equivalent accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, Standard Method of Measurement, and subcontract management on London projects.
  • Commercially aware with experience in valuations, CVRs, cash management, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in site measurement, document control, and preparation of reports, variations, and forecasts.
